Mudir Ma’had Aly Hasyim Asy’ari Tebuireng, Dr. KH. Achmad Roziqi, LC., MHI, explained that this achievement strengthens the position of Islamic boarding schools as institutions capable of seriously managing higher education in Indonesia.

According to him, quantitatively this predicate shows a score above 312 out of 104 instrument items. “Qualitatively, the increasing number of Ma’had Alys who get mumtaz marks means that education at Ma’had Aly is getting better, not only in terms of teaching materials but also administration,” he said.

He emphasized that this year’s achievement was the second achievement, after five years ago this institution also received a mumtaz score under the leadership of Dr. Nur Hannan. “Now we move on. “As his student, Alhamdulillah, I can maintain and continue Ma’had Aly’s struggle to achieve mumtaz marks in 2025,” he added.

In his explanation, Kiai Roziqi said there were three main factors that determined this success, namely training, baht, And serve On the tarbiyah aspect, he said that the competency standards for graduates, curriculum, and teaching and education staff were running well.

“Of the existing graduates, almost all have roles in the religious world, whether they are teachers, caregivers, priests, counselors. “This shows the quality of graduates, such as hope, they are able to read books and actualize law in society,” he explained.

“The biggest challenge is how we present complete data. “Even though archiving is good, in the assessment we were taught that the process is not only textual but also contextual,” said Ustadz Roziqi. According to him, the mumtaz title had a big impact on strengthening the curriculum. “This achievement makes us more confident that what we are doing is in line with the government’s expectations, but it still does not lose our identity as Ma’had Aly under the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School,” he said.

He hopes that the uniqueness of hadith studies in Ma’had Aly can be a good example, even at the international level. The mumtaz predicate also increases the institution’s bargaining power in national and global networks.

“Institutions with mumtaz values ​​definitely have high bargaining power, including scholarship partnerships outside Tebuireng,” he explained. He added that opportunities for international collaboration are increasingly opening up, as can be seen from MUTUN activities which present seminars, Bahtsul Masail, and international conferences with six writing sending countries.

“This shows that the outside world has seen Ma’had Aly Hasyim Asy’ari,” he stressed.

To maintain the title of mumtaz, Ma’had Aly is supported by the Masyaikh Council as an internal quality guarantor. “Their existence is a quality control for Ma’had Aly,” he explained.

Apart from that, the curriculum workshop tradition will continue to be developed. This semester, several new programs have been implemented, including oral book exams per semester as well as periodic examinations of memorization of the Al-Qur’an and hadith. “In the past, memorization was checked before graduation, now we control it every semester,” said Yai Roziqi.

At the end of the interview, Ustadz Roziqi delivered a message to all students. “Make the best use of this mumtaz value. Strengthen your knowledge, enthusiasm for discussion and your wisdom. Ma’had Aly’s quality is good, as are his mahasantri. “Maintain the good name of this kemumtazan by improving the quality of each of us,” he said.
