Trans7 Produces Ramadan Episode in Tebuireng, Wait for the Broadcast Schedule!

Tebuireng.online— The Trans7 team carried out the process shooting special Ramadan program at the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, Jombang Regency, on 13–16 February 2026. This production involves several groups from caregivers, administrators, students, to alumni. Including the most unique things and icons from the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School.

One of the representatives of the Trans7 creative team, Decka Armyka, explained that the selection of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School was the result of internal deliberations between the ranks of producers and department heads. Tebuireng is considered to meet a number of main criteria, starting from its status as an old Islamic boarding school to the wealth of historical stories and education it has.

“The first criteria is that the Islamic boarding school is old, the second is that it has a strong story. The story of KH. Hasyim Asy’ari is very interesting. Apart from that, Tebuireng has also progressed from the Islamic side to general education. Now it is even known as a science Islamic boarding school. The Islamic boarding school is strong, the science is no less,” said Decka.

This approximately one hour long program is designed in three main segments. On the first day, the Trans7 team held intensive discussions with the Islamic boarding school to determine coverage items. Of the dozens of items proposed, they are then selected so that the broadcast remains solid and not monotonous.

“If the content is just reciting the Koran again, reciting the Koran again, the audience will get bored. But in Tebuireng the variety is extraordinary. There is archery, fashion shows in English, guesthouses in English and Arabic, nadhoman, memorizing the Koran, even memorizing books,” he explained.

Several items that were considered too general were ultimately not included, not because they were less interesting, but for the sake of story efficiency. The production team chose activities that were considered unique and rarely found in other Islamic boarding schools.

To strengthen the content of the broadcast, Trans7 also requires interviews with competent sources. These include the caretaker of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, Gus Kikin, to the student representative and Tebuireng nutritionist.

According to Decka, one of the most interesting segments is language houses. “Here there are English guesthouses and Arabic guesthouses. The children really speak English and Arabic. It’s rare to find a boarding school where both are equally strong, even with the addition of science and extracurriculars like archery,” he said.

He also quoted Kiai Musta’in’s statement during an interview, that Tebuireng has many educational pillars, but still stands on the salaf foundation inherited by KH. Hasyim Asy’ari.

Process shooting takes place relatively quickly. In about four days, one episode was successfully completed. Decka appreciated the support of the Tebuireng media team who were considered very cooperative, even though there had been several technical miscommunications in the field which could be resolved immediately through coordination.

Apart from that, the students were said to be very enthusiastic and easy to work with during the production process, making it easier for the team to shoot.

This program also involves four hosts who guide each segment. One of them is Ahmad Rhazes AS Shuwary, a 5th grade Muallimin student, who admitted that this was his first time experiencing being a television host.

“This is my first time shooting TV and hosting. At first I was shocked when I auditioned, but it was fun and I got a new experience. “I really want to try the world of media,” said Rhazes. He hopes that this show can be an inspiration for his friends his age to get to know and study at the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School.

For your information, the contents of the program segment include exploring the history and profile of KH. Hasyim Asy’ari which will be visualized through scene illustrations, public kitchen activities, nadhoman and memorization, English and Arabic guesthouses, as well as various testimonial interviews.

Until now, the program broadcast schedule is still waiting for a decision from Trans7. The program is planned to be broadcast in the month of Ramadan or after Eid al-Fitr, depending on the final determination of the head of the Trans7 department.
