Tebuireng.online— The 12th National Creativity Competition (NCC) in 2026 will be an unforgettable experience for grade 9 students at Tebuireng Science Middle School. At SMA Darul Ulum 1 Unggulan Peterongan, Jombang, this national level competition at the SMP/MTs level not only presents tough competition, but also awards something much more meaningful than just a trophy, namely Umrah vouchers for the winners.
In the Speech Contest branch, the highest achievement was achieved by Archie Javas Nararya, a class 9F student born in Jember 20 October 2010. The first of three siblings won 1st place at the national level after going through a long process since October the previous year. “What I know is that I love speaking. Thank God, my English teacher realized that potential and guided me,” he said.
Archie’s journey in the world of speech began in seventh grade with various dynamics of ups and downs. The family, teacher and school environment are the main factors that make him survive. “I learned that speech is not just about memorizing, but also about understanding and taking real action on the material we convey,” he said.

To divide his time between school and cottage, Archie chooses to maximize training at school. “I set a target practice time and took time at school because it was easier to catch up on lessons than being left behind at the cottage,” he explained.
When his name was announced as the first winner, Archie admitted that he was very moved. “Thank God, I am very happy and very proud, because after participating in speech competitions many times, I finally won first place at the national level,” he said. The Umrah voucher gift he received was a reminder to continue to be humble and grow.

Zafirah described her experience of participating in the NCC as a moment full of tension and excitement. “We had a stressful experience, but it turned out to be fun too,” he said.
In her preparations, Zafirah received a lot of guidance from the school and a companion who helped evaluate her readiness for the competition. Even though she initially took part in the competition on the advice of the school and homeroom teacher, Zafirah emphasized that her participation was also born of personal desire.
