Mahad Aly Hasyim Asy’ari’s Turats Nabawi Congress (MUTUN) Will Hold Bahtsul Masail Discussing Ecological Issues

Tebuireng.online— National Bahtsul Masail in series Nabawi Turats Congress (MUTUN) Ma’had Aly Hasyim Asy’ari Tebuireng will be held on Wednesday–Thursday (10–11/12/2025), with a focus on discussing ecological issues. This theme was chosen because of the urgency of the global environmental situation which is considered increasingly worrying. If previously the world was in phase Climate Change (Climate Change), experts now say that humanity has entered an era Global Boiling (Global Boiling), a condition that describes the extreme acceleration of environmental damage.

Ecological damage due to natural exploitation has triggered seasonal chaos, crop failure, and air and water pollution which have a direct impact on people’s quality of life. On this basis, Mahad Aly Hasyim Asy’ari considers it important to present a comprehensive fiqh study so that environmental problems can be answered from a sharia perspective.

In this forum, four crucial themes will be dissected in depth:

1. Downstreaming of Natural Resources from an Environmental Jurisprudence Perspective
2. Job Creation Law and its Implications for Environmental Protection
3. Green Waqf as a Modern Conservation Instrument
4. Hifdzul Bi’ah in Maqashid Sharia: Examining the Ideas of Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi

These four themes will be resolved in two jalsa during the implementation of Bahtsul Masail MUTUN.

To strengthen the discussion, this forum will present a Team of Experts from WALHI who will provide a comprehensive presentation regarding environmental conditions and problems in Indonesia. Meanwhile, the ranks of the Mushohih and Muharrir Councils are filled with competent figures in their fields.
The Mushohih Council consists of KH. Mukhlis Dimyati and KH. Zahro Wardi, while the Muharrir Council includes:

Chairman of the Committee and Head of LBM Ma’had Aly Hasyim Asy’ari, Ustadz Ahmad Wasil Syahir, S.Ag., emphasized that the results of Bahtsul Masail should not stop at a purely theoretical or normative level. “Every decision must be able to have a real impact, both in the form of regulations and implementation steps to protect the environment in a sustainable manner,” he said.

Through this forum, it is hoped that it can produce a formulation of environmental jurisprudence that is moderate, applicable, and will be the Islamic boarding school’s contribution to efforts to save the earth.
