I have trapped several places. Not much indeed, but so many experiences I have. Of all the places I’ve visited, I chose the mosque as the best place on this earth.

Since becoming a member of the youth of the mosque, every time I travel to another city somehow my main goal is always the same: looking for a mosque. For me, the mosque is not only the best place for worship, but also a place healing for the heart. In addition to the beauty of its stunning carvings and architecture, the mosque’s atmosphere and air always soothe the soul. Like people who are thirsty looking for water, I feel like I lost my direction when traveling without stopping by the mosque. Every trip feels incomplete without going there.

In some cities, the mosque has even become an icon of pride. Likewise with my hometown, my beloved Tanjung Enim, which is now in the middle of cleaning up to Tanjung Enim, the City of Tourism. On weekends, my friends and I often visit tourist attractions such as coal museums or zoo and jogging tracks. However, around the tourist area there is one place that is often missed by visitors, a mosque that holds many stories. When my heart was upset and restless, I often spilled tears there.

Yes, the Jami ‘Bukit Asam mosque is called. A mosque built by a company, not only as a place of worship, but also as a tourist spot for the heart. In the mosque area there is also an orphanage fostered by PT Bukit Asam.

More than that, this mosque is a forum for the creativity of teenagers. We call ourselves Karima, the family of the Islamic Youth Mosque of Jami ‘Bukit Asam which has been established since 1993. Many great activities have been carried out, and many great figures have been there. Every Sunday, we routinely hold a recitation or learning motivation to increase the productivity of the members. No need for heavy and boring discussion; Enough with light material, attractive, and fun so that it is easy to understand.

This mosque witnessed my journey in the process of becoming a better person. Through Karima, I learned the meaning of solidarity in the organization not only about togetherness, but also about families who embrace each other and consider each other in every step and activity.

In this mosque I also had the opportunity to meet many great people. Some famous clerics have been invited to fill the study, and I was given the mandate to be the moderator. For me, it was the most valuable experience, a moment that I would never forget. It’s not only my city that is cleaning for the better, but I am improving myself.

One of the most fun moments is during the Idulfitri holiday. We, Karima members, always visit the houses of friends and the ustaz and mosque administrators to stay in touch. We exchanged stories, chatting lightly about the Jami Mosque and its management. The family atmosphere always makes the heart warm.

Now, I have a wife and mother of a cute and cute little daughter, Khodijah Izzatunnisa. I often take him to this Jami Mosque, even when Khodijah is still in the womb, I remain active in filling the study, becoming a speaker, and accompanying Karima’s younger siblings, especially when there are big activities.

Being a mother is not a barrier for me to remain active in the Karima organization. For me, that’s where the real family lies, where I learn to understand the meaning of life, practice the courage to appear in front, and pick up many valuable lessons.

Being an alumni of Karima is a gift. Now I can accompany Karima’s younger siblings, teach Islamic studies, become listeners when they feel bored, and share experiences so that they continue to be enthusiastic. I want my existence to be useful for many people.

While still able, I will continue to be willing, whether to be a filling of studies, moderators, or teachers of the Koran. All of that is part of my efforts to Fastabiqul Khairat, competing in goodness. Because I believe, the best motivator is ourselves.
