The Prayer I No Longer Say

I used to force the sky to answer
I pray that everything goes according to my heart’s wishes
but now I’m silent
because apparently, silence can also be a prayer

I learn
that not everything that is pending is lost
Sometimes God just waits for time,
until I am truly ready to receive what I desire
without holding too tightly.

Now I just say slowly:
“Oh my God, if it weren’t for me,
Don’t let me be jealous of what you give.”

Women Who Are No Longer Demanding

I used to want to be known,
want to be praised, want to be considered “there.”
But time made me understand
fame without blessings is just a shadow that is hungry for the spotlight.

Now I’m enough with being good,
even though no one is looking at it.
Because I know,
Sometimes people who are silent are the strongest to resist disappointment.

I no longer demand the stage,
I just want to calm down in the long prostration,
in a place where there is no need for applause,
but full of the gentle and all-knowing gaze of God.

Which Was Not Selected, But Still Growing

I’m not a flower in a busy garden,
maybe I’m just a weed on the side of the road.
However, I am still growing.
Still green, even though no one praises it.

I realized,
not everything that is invisible is meaningless.
Sometimes, what humans don’t choose
In fact, Allah is protecting us from tests that we cannot yet bear.

So let me be here
be a witness that even those who are silent can fight,
Even those who are set aside can be happy,
because I don’t wait for recognition,
I’m just waiting for God’s best time.
