AWH Tebuireng High School Wins MKKS Cup IV 2026 After Defeating Hosts 6–5

Wahid Hasyim (AWH) Tebuireng High School futsal team made a proud achievement by winning the championship title at the 2026 MKKS Cup IV event at the private high school level in Jombang Regency. The tournament, which was held by the School Principals Working Conference (MKKS), took place at SMA PGRI 2 Jombang on 7-10 February 2026.

The championship title was won in a fierce final match. In the deciding match, SMA AWH had to face the host SMA PGRI 2 Jombang. The tight duel ended with a narrow score of 6-5 in favor of AWH High School. The game was intense until the final whistle, showing the players’ mentality, focus and high fighting power.

The captain of the AWH High School futsal team, Akmal Ridho Hibatullah (XI-1), revealed that the team’s preparation was relatively short. They only underwent intensive training for two weeks before the tournament started.

“The difficulty may be a lack of unity on the field, but that can be handled because we remember Pak Angga’s message as coach before the match. “We were asked to remain focused, trust each other and be responsible for our respective roles,” he said after receiving the championship trophy.

Apart from preparing game strategies, players also have to divide their time with academic obligations. During the training period, they admitted that they had missed several lessons and had to catch up on school assignments in between training schedules.

From a tactical perspective, the AWH High School futsal team implemented a full defensive game pattern with fast rotations, while waiting for opportunities to counterattack. This strategy proved effective in facing strong opponents throughout the tournament, including during the crucial match against the hosts.

Akmal said he was proud to be able to bring a good name to the school through the sport of futsal. According to him, this championship title is a big motivation for all team members to continue to develop.

“I’m happy to be able to carry the name of AWH High School, especially futsal. “Hopefully in the future AWH High School futsal can win other championships,” he said.

Due to this achievement, the AWH High School futsal team has the right to bring home the trophy and certificate for winning the MKKS Cup IV 2026. This achievement is proof that sports development in the school environment goes hand in hand with strengthening students’ academics and character.

Wahid Hasyim High School futsal team players competing in the 2026 MKKS Cup IV consists of Akmal Ridho Hibatullah (XI-1) as captain, Miftah Ghani Agata (XI-2), Najib Ali Ahnaf (XI-1), Iftikhar Ammar Faiz (XI-1), Mochammad Rayhan Rahmatulloh (XI-3), Syhabuddin Ahmad Hilal (XI-3), Moh Andika Azmi Althof (XI-3), Gema Islam Al Ghazali (X-5), Shofwan Fahriza (X-5), Restu Bumi Perdana (X-5), M. Ibra Ougustius Cahyo (X-5), Muhammad Marzuki Mubarok (X-2), Daffa Diyaulhaq Putra Hudaya (X-2), Mohammad Bagus Yoga Pratama (XI-3), and Azzam Naufal Pradipta Dustin Ary Wibowo (XI-4).
