Celebrate 100 Years of NU, PCNU & MWCNU Sukabumi Management Visit Tebuireng

Tebuireng.online- Commemorating 100 years of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) in the Gregorian calendar, a group from the Darussyifa Al-Fithroh Yaspida Integrated Islamic Boarding School together with PCNU and MWCNU Sukabumi, West Java, held a friendly safari. One of the main goals is the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, Jombang, Tuesday (13/1/2026).

The arrival of the group was warmly welcomed in the Hall on the 1st Floor of the KH Yusuf Hasyim Building by Mudir III of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, H. Lukman Hakim and Mudir V of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, Dr. KH. Ahmad Roziqi, Lc., MHI.

In his speech, H. Lukman Hakim expressed his high appreciation for this brotherly visit. He emphasized that Tebuireng remains steadfast in the principle of producing students who are not only intellectually superior, but also have high morality.

“At the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, we emphasize to all students to always have good morals and be honest. Because, nowadays, not all smart people are right,” stressed H. Lukman Hakim.

An interesting moment occurred when Dr. KH. Ahmad Roziqi reads a book Al-Qanun Al-Asasi the work of Hadratussyaikh KH Hasyim Asy’ari as material for reflection for NU Sukabumi administrators. Kiai Roziqi dissects Chapter 2 which explains the grand vision for the founding of NU.

“The purpose of NU was founded so that Muslims adhere to this sect so that they do not become radical Muslims. Second, for the benefit of the Islamic religion,” explained Kiai Roziqi.

He also added, “Our goal as administrators is to spread benefit to the people, so we should not seek profits or make a living in this jam’iyah,” he added.

Chairman of MWCNU, KH. Muhammad Syamsul Ma’arif, M.Pd., explained that this visit was part of the Wali Songo pilgrimage series as well as commemorating NU’s 100th Harlah.

“We want to hear directly the messages and advice from the Hadratussyaikh extended family as our motivation to serve NU,” said Kiai Syamsul Ma’arif.

He hopes that this pilgrimage and friendship will bring blessings to all levels of NU management in Sukabumi Regency so that it will be more “down to earth” and provide real benefits for the people.

The event ended with a friendly session and prayer together at the graves of Hadratussyaikh KH Hasyim Asy’ari and KH Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur) which are located in the Islamic boarding school complex area.
